This is Park Hyunchul, otherwise known on stage as Karam.
He gets haters for looking too much like another person and admiring another with all his heart.
What the people who’ve decided to hate him needlessly have failed to realize, though, is how humble and kind he is.
This photo is from when they won Rookie of the Year at the Seoul Music Awards.
He bowed as low as he could to show his thanks, and he stayed there for at least ten seconds. During that time he probably cried, but he didn’t want to upset anyone with tears so he hid them.
He never takes the credit for what success he has had. He always thanks, in this order:
- God.
- Dad.
- Mom.
- Open-World’s President, who is like family.
- And last, but not least, Jung Yunho.
Whenever he sees fans he tries to say hello to all of them, he tries to make eye contact. He smiles at everyone regardless of whether they are his fan or another member’s fan. He thanks fans for their support. What’s more is he bows to fans like he owes them everything. He’s that humble.
In an interview, when he was asked where in the world he would like to visit, he said he wants to visit North Korea the most because he wishes for the North and the South to be happily united again.
He always has anecdotal advice that his mom has said or about something that she’s done. In his eyes, mother knows best. Mother knows everything.
He didn’t grow up in Seoul. He grew up in Daegu, which is south of there. He went to Seoul alone by train, and when he crossed the river he was so awed and impressed by the view that instead of going straight to his destination, he got out at the nearest stop, got on the train heading in the opposite direction, and rode over the river again just so he could enjoy the view.
In the morning he cooks everyone breakfast if there is time. The easiest thing would be to remain lazy and order breakfast somewhere, but he doesn’t. He would probably cook every meal of every day, partly because he loves cooking, and partly because the members of The Boss are family, and have been for about five years.
I could continue on about the awesome things about him. I challenge any one of you to find anything logical and fact-based to dislike about him. I’ll bet money that nobody can.
Let this small list dedicated to his awesome personality serve as a testament to why he deserves so much, and why his supporters attempt to give everything we can to him.
